‘I Did Nazi That Coming.😂’: Twitter Mocks DOJ Photos of Jeff Sessions With New US Attorneys

‘That’s a Whole Lot of Men’

Just one month after being confirmed as Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired all the remaining U.S. Attorneys – holdovers from the Obama administration – in the Dept. of Justice. While it is not unprecedented for U.S. Attorneys to be replaced by a new administration, it is problematic when they are all fired at once, especially when there are no replacements. 

The scandal grew when news broke that President Trump had told the most prominent U.S. Attorney, Preet Bharara of the Southern District of New York, that he would not be let go, and even called him days before the mass firings. Bharara was fired along with all the others.

Now, it appears the Attorney General has finally replaced some of the U.S. Attorneys he fired back in March.

On Wednesday the Dept. of Justice posted to Twitter two photos of the new, incoming federal prosecutors with the Attorney General.

In the photos, as you can see, all but one of America’s new U.S. Attorneys are men, all but two are white. 

In the second (below), Attorney General Jeff Sessions is standing with him right arm in an unfortunate pose.

Twitter has exploded into mockery.

“I did nazi that coming,” posted one person in response to Sessions appearing to give a Nazi salute.
