Trump Blames ‘The Press’ for His Incivility: ‘I’m a Very Intelligent Person’ (Video)

President Says He Knows He Was ‘Extremely Nice’ to Myeshia Johnson Because He Has ‘One of the Great Memories of All Time’

President Donald Trump says “the press” makes him out to be uncivil. Speaking to reporters Wednesday afternoon before heading to Dallas for a GOP fundraiser Trump was asked if he thinks he should be more “civil” to people.

“I think the press makes me more uncivil than I am,” the president responded. “I went to an Ivy League college. I was a nice student. I did very well. I’m a very intelligent person.”

“I think the press creates a different image of Donald Trump than the real person,” Trump insisted.

“When somebody says something about you that’s false,” Trump continued, “I think it’s always OK to counter-punch or to fight back.”

Even an expectant mother of two who is a Gold Star widow, apparently.

But in Trump’s mind, he was “extremely nice” to Myeshia Johnson, the widow of La David Johnson, killed in action in Niger.

Trump says he knows he was nice to Myeshia Johnson and said her husband’s name because he has “one of the great memories of all time.”
