Slain Soldier’s Widow Confirms Pro-Trump Viral Post is Fake

Trump Supporters Circulating Post

The Gold Star widow of slain Army Sgt. La David Johnson has confirmed to ABC News that a viral post in which she praises Donald Trump and slanders U.S. Congresswoman Frederica Wilson is fake.

Supporters of Donald Trump began circulating the post this week after the congresswoman revealed that the president told the pregnant, mother-of-two widow that her slain husband “knew what he was getting into.”

“I want to set the record straight!” the viral, fake post reads. “I’m getting sick and tired of this so called politician using my husband as a political platform. Even buy her own words she did not hear all of the conversation she only heard part of it. This is what actually was said.”

“‘They know the risk, they know what they sign up for but they still volunteer to put their lives on the line for their fellow Americans,’” it concludes.

In a response to one of the president’s supporters utilizing the fake image, Michael Del Moro, a producer for ABC’s “Good Morning America,” confirmed that Myeisha Johnson acknowledged the viral post was a fake.

The supporter has since deleted the image, but a screenshot can be seen below the tweet:

Donald Trump continued his attacks on Wilson this morning, stretching his administration’s smear campaign against the congresswoman into its sixth day.

Del Moro also confirmed that Mrs. Johnson will appear Monday on “Good Morning America” in an exclusive interview, which the network has also advertised:
