‘Christian Identity Is Back’ Flyers State
Threatening and disgusting flyers bearing a large black, white, and red swastika, Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” campaign slogan, and a message attacking Jews, gay people, and Black people have been sent to several addresses in New York City. The flyers also state “Christian Identity is Back.”
In addition to the “Make America Great Again” slogan, the flyers say:Â
“JUDEN RAUS,” which is German for “JEWS OUT,” and “NEGROES AND F*GG*TS MUST BURN IN HELL.”
The flyers “were sent to the Israeli consulate in Manhattan, as well as the Harlem Business Alliance, a Harlem Starbucks and several Jewish-owned businesses in Brooklyn, according to police,” DNA Info reports.
Evan Bernstein, the regional director of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) New York, posted one to Twitter:
“Christian Identity is a virulently racist and anti-Semitic religious ideology popular in some extreme-right circles which considers Jews to be the Satantic offspring of Eve and the Serpent, while non-whites are believed to be ‘mud peoples’ created before Adam and Eve,” the ADL said in a statement Wednesday denouncing the mailings.
