Las Vegas Police Double Number of Injured: 406 People Transported to Hospitals

Gunman Had More Than 10 Rifles

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police have just doubled the number of people injured in what is the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history. 406 people have been transported to hospitals, after a local area man armed with at least one fully-automatic weapon opened fire on a crowd of 22,000. More than 50 people are dead.

Police say the alleged gunman died of self-inflicted wounds.

The victims were attending a country music concert at the Manadaly Bay resort and casino. The suspect opened fire from the 32nd floor.

Police describe the alleged gunman as “a lone suspect,” and “a white male from Mesquite, Nevada.” In a press conference police say the gunman had “in excess of 10 rifles.”
