First Lady Melania Trump Blasts President’s ‘Attention-Seeking’ First Wife Over Harmless Joke
‘She Plans to Use Her Title and Role to Help Children, Not Sell Books’
First Lady Melania Trump is blasting her husband’s first wife as “attention-seeking and self-serving” over a harmless joke.
In an interview with ABC’s “Good Morning America,” Ivana Trump jokingly called herself the “First Lady,” meaning she was Donald Trump‘s first wife. She also suggested Melania Trump might become jealous of her if she were to call the President at the White House.
“I have the direct number to White House, but I don’t really want to call him there because Melania is there and I don’t want to cause any kind of jealousy or something like that,” Ivana, who says she talks to the president about once every two weeks, said. “Because I’m basically first Trump wife, OK? I’m First Lady, OK?”

Ivana Trump is promoting her new book, Raising Trump, about her raising – without much help from Donald – her three children: Donald Jr., Eric, and Ivanka Trump.
The First Lady issued a glaring statement blasting the first Mrs. Trump.
Melania Trump “has made the White House a home for Barron and the President,” the First Lady’s communications director, Stephanie Grisham, said in a statement to CNN. “She loves living in Washington, DC, and is honored by her role as first lady of the United States. She plans to use her title and role to help children, not sell books,” Grisham said.
“There is clearly no substance to this statement from an ex, this is unfortunately only attention-seeking and self-serving noise,” the First Lady’s statement concluded.Â
Ivana Trump also weighed in on Russia, insisting that President Trump has done nothing wrong. She says Americans voted, he won, and that’s that.
