Trump Wants NBC to ‘Issue an Apology to AMERICA!’
Barely minutes after Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s unexpected press conference ended President Donald Trump took to Twitter and lied. At issue is a bombshell NBC News report that states Tillerson came close to resigning this summer and at one point had, in the presence of others, called President Trump a “moron.”
After reading a statement to the press denying that he has ever even considered resigning, and reaffirming his support for the president and his policies, a reporter asked Tillerson specifically if he had called Trump a “moron.”Â
The Secretary of State refused to deny it.
“I’m not going to deal with petty stuff like that,” Tillerson insisted.
But President Trump, right on cue, took to Twitter – after blasting NBC News minutes earlier – claiming that Tillerson had “totally refuted” the NBC report.
Except he hadn’t.
In response, on-air, MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle told viewers that her reporting says not only did Tillerson call Trump a “moron,” he called Trump a “f*cking moron.”
