GOP Senate Nominee Roy Moore Calls for Impeachment of Judge Who Blocked Trump Transgender Military Ban

‘Judge’ Moore Again Proves He’s No Legal Expert

“Judge” Roy Moore is calling for the impeachment of a federal judge because she blocked President Donald Trump’s ban on transgender service members. The Republican nominee in the race to fill the U.S. Senate seat formerly held by Jeff Sessions called Monday’s ruling by U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly “absolutely ridiculous,” “outlandish,” and an “unlawful usurpation of power.”

Moore, who was twice removed as Chief Justice of the Alabama state Supreme Court for refusing to honor U.S. Supreme Court rulings, previously called for the impeachment of all U.S. Supreme Court justices who supported same-sex marriage in the Obergefell decision.

“The decision of a federal judge in the District of Columbia enjoining President Trump’s executive order on transgenderism in the military is absolutely ridiculous and is a perfect example of the outlandish doctrine of judicial supremacy whereby judges exalt themselves over the Constitution they are sworn to uphold,” Moore wrote on Facebook Monday, in a post that clearly reveals he is a poor legal scholar.

“As recently as 2013, the American Psychiatric Association considered transgenderism to be a mental disorder. And only in 2016 did the Obama administration attempt to impose that delusion upon our fighting forces. To say that President Trump cannot prohibit transgenderism in the military is a clear example of judicial activism. Even the United States Supreme Court has never declared transgenderism to be a right under the Constitution.”

Moore believes being gay should be illegal, and Muslims should not be allowed to serve in Congress. When President Donald Trump two weeks ago was asked why he is supporting a candidate who holds such offensive beliefs, the President refused to answer. Rather, he said he would be meeting with Moore last week. That meeting does not appear to have taken place and Trump has not dropped his support for Moore.
