Watch: Steve Bannon Calls Racist, Homophobic, Birther Roy Moore ‘A Righteous Man Like Jeff Sessions’
‘The Elites Hold Me in Contempt’ Bannon Says
In a rare public appearance former Trump White House chief strategist Steve Bannon called former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore a “righteous man” who deserves to be elected to the U.S. Senate seat formerly held by Jeff Sessions.
“I hope the folks in Alabama send another righteous man, a righteous man like Jeff Sessions, I hope they send Judge Moore into the runoff with the Democrat.”
Judge Roy Moore earlier this month referred to Native Americans and Asians as “reds and yellows.” His homophobia seems to know no bounds. And he still holds on to thoroughly debunked claims that former President Barack Obama was not born in this country.
Yes, Steve Bannon, the man who bragged that the website he runs, Breitbart, is the “platform for the alt-right,” is calling homophobic, racist, far right wing religious extremist and birther Roy Moore a “righteous man.”
Bannon made his remarks on Fox News’ “Hannity” Monday night at a final campaign rally for Judge Moore, who on Tuesday faces off against fellow Republican Luther Strange to determine who will win the GOP nomination for Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ Senate seat.Â
Luther Strange has been shooting up in the Alabama polls since my endorsement. Finish the job – vote today for “Big Luther.”

Contrary to President Trump’s claim Tuesday morning that Strange “has been shooting up in the Alabama polls since my endorsement,” Moore is leading Strange in at least one recent poll by double digits, and is expected to win.
Moore then would face off with Democratic candidate Doug Jones, who some Republicans have said they will vote for over either GOP candidate.Â
“The elites hold me in contempt,†Bannon told Sean Hannity Monday night. “They think I’m a bad guy. They think I’m a dangerous guy. I wear their contempt as a badge of honor. They have helped destroy this country. They have done nothing but allow economic hate crimes against working men and women in the heartland of this country.â€
