President Donald Trump will eliminate the DACA program protecting undocumented immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children by their parents, reportedly, with a six month delay to give Congress the opportunity to address the issue with legislation. And while he was expected to tell the country his decision on Tuesday, President Trump has decided that Attorney General Jeff Sessions will be the one to make the announcement.
Not only that, but the president gleefully tweeted out that Congress is now in charge of DACA, confirming reporting over the weekend, and washing his hands of all responsibility, as usual.
Congress, get ready to do your job – DACA!

The Dept. of Justice has issued a “Media Advisory” stating the Attorney General will hold a briefing to address DACA at 11:00 AM Tuesday. It also notes there will be no questions from reporters allowed.
The president’s daily schedule currently does not include any scheduled press conferences or briefings to the media or the public on DACA.
And while it is believed there is enough support on both sides of the aisle to turn DACA into law, there is no indication that either Speaker Ryan or Majority Leader McConnell have any intention of bringing immigration legislation to the floor.
