Trump Just Tweeted ObamaCare Repeal Is a GOP ‘Death Wish!’ – but Privately He’s Still Pushing to Kill It

Trump ‘Refusing to Give Up on Obamacare Repeal’ Yet Tweets Repeal Is a Waste of Time

President Trump is continuing his duplicitous efforts to kill ObamaCare. Last week he gutted by about 90% the amount allotted for 2018 sign-up advertising and slashed funds allocated for non-profits that help Americans enroll in the programs. In total, Trump is refusing to spend about $136 million that was designed to help more people get insurance, and thus help lower premiums across the board.

And maybe worse, the president privately is pushing Senate Republicans to beat the Sept. 30 deadline that would allow them to repeal major portions of the Affordable Care Act with just a simple majority vote.

On Tuesday Politico reported “President Donald Trump and some Senate Republicans are refusing to give up on Obamacare repeal, even after this summer’s spectacular failure and with less than a month before a key deadline.”

Which is why Americans who support ObamaCare and have been working to ensure lawmakers don’t repeal the vital program should look at these tweets the president posted Friday morning and call them what they are: deceptive lies designed to get us to stop fighting to save the ACA and allow us to think we’ve won.

This is pure Donald Trump: a duplicitous, lying schemer who cannot be taken at face value.

If you want to ensure ObamaCare stays the law, call your Senators. It doesn’t matter if they’re Democrats or Republicans, they need to know this is still an important issue. A few minutes from you could help make all the difference.

Call your Senators: (202) 224-3121.
