“She actually said, ‘Daddy, can I go with you?'”
President Trump flew to North Dakota Wednesday afternoon to deliver a speech on tax reform, but before he left he met with Republican congressional leaders. Multiple reporters noted on Twitter that Republican lawmakers in the Oval Office “were visibly annoyed” when Ivanka Trump popped in, saying the meeting “careened off topic” once she got there.
Apparently validating those reports, President Trump revealed Ivanka traveled with him to North Dakota:
“And by the way. Ivanka trump? Everybody loves Ivanka,” Trump said, to applause. “Come up honey – should I bring Ivanka up?”
“Sometimes they’ll say, ‘He can’t be that bad a guy. Look at Ivanka. Come on up honey.”
She’s so good. She wanted to make the trip. She said, ‘Dad, can I go with you?’ She said actually, ‘Daddy, can I go with you?’ I like that, right?”
“‘Daddy, can I go with you?’Â I said, ‘Yes you can.'”
