‘I’m Not the Decision Maker’
Ivanka Trump sat down with Dr. Oz and shattered the view of countless pundits who suggested from the start that the First Daughter and Advisor to the President would be a “moderating” influence on her father.Â
“My role,” Ivanka Trump told Dr. Oz in an interview that aired Thursday, “is to inform, advise, and then ultimately execute. So I’m not the decision maker,” she said.
“I have my views and I share them candidly, and as a daughter I have the latitude to do that,” she said, but added, “I also respect the process that my father is now president.”
She says her job is not “to undermine” the agenda Americans elected Trump to execute.
“I don’t view it as my obligation to moderate, and I don’t think anyone working for a sitting president should see themselves in that capacity.”
