Trump Deletes Tweets Supporting Luther Strange, Fully Embraces ‘Really Great Guy’ Roy Moore

‘He Will Help to #MAGA!’

President Donald Trump has fully embraced “Judge” Roy Moore, an anti-establishment, homophobic, Islamophobic, racist, right wing religious extremist birther to fill the U.S. Senate seat Jeff Sessions left to become Trump’s Attorney General.

Trump, as The Hill reported, deleted several tweets expressing his support for Luther Strange, the Alabama establishment candidate who Tuesday night lost to Moore in the Alabama GOP primary runoff race.

Trump had tweeted 17 times to try to help Strange win over Moore, and even traveled to Alabama Friday night to try to close the deal. Tuesday night Strange suffered a significant and wholly expected loss. Trump then deleted three tweets, including two that promised voters Strange “will never let you down!”

Buzzed News’ Deputy News Director Jon Passantino posted the tweets that Trump deleted:

Deleting tweets is a possible violation of the Presidential Records Act.

Not only did Trump delete those tweets, he rushed to congratulate Roy Moore, a racist, homophobic birther and far right religious extremist, on his win. Trump told voters he will support Moore, tweeting the twice-removed former state Supreme Court Chief Justice will Make America Great Again:

Trump went even further, calling Moore Tuesday night to congratulate him. Talking Points Memo reports the President made the call not long after the race was decided. Moore posted this photo of him talking with Trump at 11:15 PM:

Moore winning against Trump’s candidate is a huge blow for the President, and a strong revelation that the Trump brand is not as strong as Trump would have voters think. It is, however, proof that the racism and birtherism Trump encouraged are not going away any time soon.
