‘We’re Super Tight on Time’

Sarah Huckabee Sanders refused say who the “very fine people” President Trump said were protesting alongside neo-Nazis and white supremacists. At Friday’s daily press briefing the White House Press Secretary would not answer the question when asked by a reporter.

ABC News’ Jon Karl had first asked about Gary Cohn, President Trump’s chief economic advisor who nearly resigned over Trump’s Charlottesville remarks. In a strongly-worded interview with the Financial Times Cohn said the Trump administration “can and must do better in consistently and unequivocally condemning” hate groups including the KKK, neo-Nazis, and white supremacists.

Karl followed up by asking who Trump was referring to when he said there were some very fine people protesting with the hate groups, and there was blame to be placed “on many sides.”

Huckabee Sanders insisted they were “really tight on time” and could not answer his question. He kept pushing. 

“Jonathan we’re super tight on time,” Huckabee Sanders repeated. 

The Press Secretary did note that President Trump will try to visit Texas next week, presumably because of Hurricane Harvey.
