Trump (Finally) Issues Response to News North Korea Can Put a Nuclear Bomb on an ICBM, and It’s Insane

‘They Will Be Met With Fire, Fury, and Frankly Power the Likes of Which This World Has Never Seen Before’

President Donald Trump has finally responded to the news that North Korea can now miniaturize a nuclear bomb enough to allow it to fit in an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), and his response is incredibly inappropriate.

First, Trump did nothing, but tweet attacks on the “fake news,” but then, he chose to respond directly.

Here’s what Trump told reporters minutes ago from his Bedminster, New Jersey golf course, where he was holding a meeting on the opioid crisis.

“North Korea best not make any more threats to the U.S.” Trump said to reporters. “They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen.”

Trump goes on to say North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un “has been very threatening… and as I said they will be met with fire, fury, and frankly power the likes of which this world has never seen before.”

That’s the exact wrong response.

First, North Korea didn’t make any threats. They are continuing their nuclear missile program, so Trump just told Kim Jung-un that he feel threatened. So much for the world’s greatest negotiator.

Second, this is a time where cooler heads must prevail. Fake machismo will only bring us closer to nuclear war. Does Trump really think verbal threats are what North Korea wants to hear? Does that deter them? No.
