New NBC News Poll Delivers Scathing Results for Donald Trump

A Strong Majority of the Nation Opposes Everything Trump Is Doing

A new NBC News/SurveyMonkey poll released Thursday morning is serving up scathing results for President Donald Trump. 

It shows six out of a 10 Americans oppose the president’s pardoning of former sheriff Joe Arpaio, with just one in three saying they support it. 

It shows that 68 percent of Americans think the issue of undocumented immigrants in this country is serious – and 71 percent say undocumented immigrants should be offered the opportunity to to apply for legal status.

Contrary to Trump’s policy, just 26 percent think undocumented immigrants should be deported.

Then there’s DACA, which Trump is expected to end any day now.

NBC News asked: “Do you support or oppose the DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) policy, which protects those who were brought in the United States as undocumented children from being deported?”

64 percent of Americans say they support DACA – they do not want it dismantled. Just 30 percent don’t support it.

And 57 percent of Americans believe immigration helps more than it hurts the country. 

Naturally, almost six in 10 Americans (59%) say they disapprove of the way President Trump is doing his job.

These numbers echo the disastrous Fox News (yes, Fox News) poll released Wednesday night, which shows 56 percent oppose building the wall, 56 percent disapprove of his handling of Charlottesville, 56 percent say Trump does not respect racial minorities, and 56 percent say Trump is “tearing the country apart.”
