Kellyanne Conway on Russia Investigation: ‘This Investigation Is Not About Russian Interference’

‘You Know That, Right?’ Conway Insists

On CNN Thursday night Kellyanne Conway, the counselor to the president, insisted special counselor Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election isn’t about Russia’s interference in the 2016 election.

After denigrating her favorite target — Hillary Clinton — which she does every chance she gets, Conway, speaking from inside the White House, told CNN’s Chris Cuomo: “This investigation is not about Russian interference, you know that, right?”

Cuomo, seemingly stunned, responded, “I think it is exactly about that.”

It is.

Conway, as usual, tried to deflect, asking Cuomo what happened in the meeting between Donald Trump Jr., Paul Manafort, Jared Kushner, and several Russians.

The White House has stated it will not comment on that topic and all questions should be referred to the appropriate party’s attorneys.

The is the counselor to the president, speaking from inside the White House, lying about something the White House has said they will not comment on.

So why is Conway talking about it on CNN?

She then accused him of not wanting to cover other news from the administration, like coal miners.
