Donald Trump Is Totally Not on Vacation, Despite This Golfing Photo Today

‘This Is Not a Vacation – Meetings and Calls!’

No one thinks presidents don’t deserve vacations. But a lot of people do care that this president and his White House lie about it. And lie about his golfing. The Trump administration has repeatedly refused to say if Trump is golfing when he visits his golf clubs – which he has done reportedly 46 times in the 200 or so days since he was inaugurated.

On Saturday Trump tweeted that he definitely is not on vacation, despite scheduled plans to spend 17 days at his Bedminster, New Jersey golf course. In all fairness, the White House is undergoing renovations for the next two weeks, congress is not in session, and presidents usually do take time off in August.

It’s just the lying.

MSNBC’s Chris Hayes this afternoon posted this tweet:

Sure, Trump sat in on an impromptu briefing on Tuesday on opioid abuse, after Fox News ran a segment that morning on the crisis.

And during that briefing Trump threatened North Korea with nuclear war. (Most people around the world probably wished he hadn’t sat in on the briefing.)

Minutes ago this photo, posted to Instagram, started making its way around social media. It reportedly shows Mike Fazio golfing with Trump at Bedminster today. The outing was arranged by a Trump Foundation donor, Richard Levine (included in this Bloomberg report last year), according to Fazio’s post. Below, a screenshot, as we expect it to be deleted or his account set to private soon:

Heavy reports Fazio is the CEO of Prime Staffing.

Famous Washington Post reporter David Fahrenthold, who tracks much of Trump’s activities including his alleged donations to charity, posted this tweet:

It is disconcerting that Trump just 24 hours ago threatened nuclear war with North Korea, and now he’s out golfing, as many Americans worry.
