Caught on Camera: Cops Mock Robbery Victim in His Own Home, Dance Around Saying ‘He’s Probably Gay’

‘We’ve Got Police Out Here, Dancing in My Home and Acting as if This Is a Joke and This Is Serious. This Is My Life.’

Two Washington, D.C. police officers are under investigation accused of mocking a burglary victim by saying “he’s probably gay” because of his clothes, and dancing around his apartment making fun of him.

Clarence Williams was overseas when his alarm company called to alert him to a break in. Two D.C. officers knocked on the front door but left after there was no answer. They did not bother to check the back door, where the suspect broke in and entered Williams’ home.

According to NBC Washington, the officers returned eight hours later, thanks to alert neighbors who noticed the broken glass in the back of Williams’ townhouse and called police.

Williams says the police “made a comment to my neighbor, saying, ‘Well what do you expect? You live in Southeast,'” a part of D.C.

Williams’ home security system caught the suspect on video  – and the officers’ actions inside his home, too. He’s outraged.

“I was appalled. I was frantic because I was out of the country,” Williams told NBC.

When Williams went through his surveillance footage, he said he was shocked to see two officers appear to make jokes about the robbery and speculate about his sexuality.

In the video, one officer can be heard laughing and saying, “Armani, Dolce and Gabbana — he’s probably gay.”

A few minutes later, another officer dances.

“We’ve got police out here, dancing in my home and acting as if this is a joke and this is serious. This is my life,” Williams says.
