As Trump Faces First International Crisis He’s Tweeting Out Attacks on ‘The Fake News’

WTH?

Tuesday afternoon news broke that North Korea can now successfully make a nuclear bomb small enough to fit in its intercontinental ballistic missiles, and those missiles we know can now reach the U.S. mainland. The Washington Post first reported the news, NBC News shortly thereafter confirmed it.

After 200 days in office, President Donald Trump is finally facing his first international crisis, and it’s potentially a huge one. Not to be alarmist: no one is saying North Korea is about to start a nuclear war tomorrow. But this is a major crisis.

Donald Trump promised the American people this very development would not happen on his watch.

So, what is the Commander-in-Chief doing?

Is he ending his vacation and heading back to the White House to meet with his generals, military advisors, national security team, and cabinet? Is he summoning them to his golf course in Bedminster, NJ?

No.

Is Trump White House Press Secretary issuing a statement to reassure the American people that the President has everything under control and is working wth foreign leaders to ensure North Korea does not launch a nuclear attack on the U.S.?

No.

Donald Trump is tweeting out attacks on The New York Times, The Washington Post, retweeting Fox News jobs numbers, and patting himself on the back for his great achievements.

The Washington Post report was published at 12:09 PM.

Nearly a full two hours later, Trump posted this lying tweet:

Minutes later, this insane statement:

And minutes later, he retweeted this Fox News post from Sunday:

President Trump has not been tested by a crisis, until today, and so far he’s failing miserably.
