#FireBannon: Demand Increases for Donald Trump to Fire Steve Bannon – Here’s How You Can Help Make It Happen

‘No Fascists in the White House!’

President Donald Trump’s refusal to denounce white supremacism since Friday’s march on the University of Virginia and Saturday’s rally that ended with the murder of 32-year old Heather Heyer has only increased calls for him to fire Steve Bannon. You can join the movement to remove Steve Bannon from the White House.

Please, call the White House: (202) 456-1111. Demand President Trump fire Steve Bannon.

Bannon is a founding board member and the former publisher of Breitbart, a radical website that Bannon himself described as “the platform for the alt right.” He is also President Trump’s Chief White House Strategist, a position created by Trump especially for him.

And while Bannon’s ties to Breitbart may or may not still be active, its his past remarks and positions that have brought many to conclude he is a member of the “alt-right,” and some to label him a white supremacist, a white nationalist, or even a “Nazi.”

Just after the election The Washington Post reported “Bannon’s senior White House role has been welcomed by prominent figures on the alt-right.”

Richard Spencer, president of the white-nationalist National Policy Institute, wrote on Twitter that “strategist” is the “best possible position” for Bannon in Trump’s White House. “Bannon will answer directly to Trump and focus on the big picture, and not get lost in the weeds,” he wrote Sunday night.

“He’ll be freed up to chart Trump’s macro trajectory,” Spencer wrote, adding, “The question is: Which way is the arrow pointing? It’s pointing towards the #AltRight!”

Those on the left have been clearly outraged from the start. Bannon ran Trump’s campaign, which was bad enough. When Trump brought Bannon into the White House, many went ballistic.

So please, call the White House: (202) 456-1111. Demand Trump fire Bannon.

“President-elect Trump’s choice of Steve Bannon as his top aide signals that white supremacists will be represented at the highest levels in Trump’s White House,” the spokesperson for then-Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) said in a statement, the Post added. “It is easy to see why the KKK views Trump as their champion when Trump appoints one of the foremost peddlers of White Supremacist themes and rhetoric as his top aide. Bannon was ‘the main driver behind Breitbart becoming a white ethno-nationalist propaganda mill,’ according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.”

Bannon’s existence in the White House was normalized, just by his mere presence and by the news media taking its focus off the “alt-right” leader in the White House.

But no more.

The hashtag #FireBannon is getting a lot of attention on social media after the murder of Heather Heyer and the violent white supremacist rally.

Axios reports that Trump may be itching to fire Bannon.

President Trump has told close associates that he believes Steve Bannon is behind damaging leaks about White House colleagues, putting the chief strategist’s job in fresh jeopardy, sources close to the president tell me,” Axios’ Lazaro Gamio reports. “Trump has told associates he’s fed up with what he sees as self-promotion by Bannon, who did not join the core team this week at the president’s golf club in Bedminster, N.J.”

Bannon may be ther top choice of Americans to be fired from the White House. Stephen Miller and Nazi-linked Sebastian Gorka, who are also top White House aides, are on the list of many to be fired from the White House:

Need some more reasons why Bannon must go? Slate reports under Bannon’s leadership at Breitbart, “the site published an infamous article that celebrated the work of several white supremacists, including Richard Spencer, who was one of the leaders of the Charlottesville rally and who made headlines for using Nazi slogans and gestures at a Washington celebration of Trump’s inauguration. (Breitbart also famously posted some of its stories under the heading ‘Black Crime.’)”

Bannon has repeatedly and publicly endorsed The Camp of the Saints, a novel popular in white-pride circles in which black Americans, “dirty Arabs,” and feces-eating Hindu rapists (among others) destroy civilization. The book refers to black individuals as “niggers” and “rats.” Bannon has also reportedly praised a far-right French writer named Charles Maurras who was sentenced to life in prison after World War II for collaboration with Nazi occupiers. And he’s complained publicly that too many tech CEOs are Asian American. And he reportedly told his ex-wife that he didn’t want their children attending schools with significant Jewish enrollment.

So please, call the White House: (202) 456-1111.

Demand the President fire Steve Bannon, and anyone else tied to white supremacists, white nationalists, Neo-Nazis, fascists, and any other hate ideologies.

This is America. It’s time we fixed this once and for all.
