White House Issues Short Statement on Scaramucci Firing as Twitter Explodes in Laughter

‘Stay Tuned to Survivor DC Edition’

President Donald Trump has ousted Anthony Scaramucci as his Communications Director, just ten days after naming him to the position. Scaramucci proceeded to disrupt the White House, in a position he was not legally cleared to hold, leading to the resignation of Press Secretary and temporary Communications Director Sean Spicer, and firing of Chief of Staff Reince Priebus.

Scaramucci was Communications Director Designate for just ten days, possibly the shortest tenure of any Trump White House employee, if indeed he was employed by the White House.

(Scaramucci said his start date would be August 15, but the White House reportedly made it effective July 26, the day he fired a Press Office staffer.)

Anthony Scaramucci will be leaving his role as White House Communications Director,” the White House said in a statement. “Mr. Scaramucci felt it was best to give Chief of Staff John Kelly a clean slate and the ability to build his own team. We wish him all the best.”

On Twitter, many celebrated the take down of a foul-mouthed narcissist. Scaramucci had called Reince Priebus a leaker, and then, “a fucking paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac.” He also attacked Steve Bannon with explicitly sexual language.
