Watch Live Now: Confirmation Hearing for Trump’s Pick to Replace Jim Comey as FBI Director

Christopher Wray Testifies Beginning at 9:30 AM

Christopher Wray, President Donald Trump’s pick to become the next Director of the FBI, replacing Jim Comey, will testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee Wednesday morning starting at 9:30 AM.

Wray has served as an assistant U.S. attorney, an associate deputy attorney general, and principal associate deputy attorney general at the Dept. of Justice.

He also worked with Robert Mueller, now the Special Counsel investigating Russia’s interference in the U.S. election, and with Jim Comey, whom Trump fired. He is now a partner at the well-known King & Spalding law firm. That could present some challenges, as another partner is an ethics advisor for the trust that holds President Trump assets.

Some believe Trump should not be allowed to appoint the next FBI Director, given he may have illegally fired Comey.
