Unhinged Donald Trump Says His Use of Social Media Isn’t Presidential, It’s ‘Modern Day Presidential’

That Doesn’t Mean It’s a Good Thing

Donald Trump, currently en route to D.C. to attend an event with his “many evangelical friends” including an anti-gay pastor who’s linked homosexuality to pedophilia and disease, has been active on Twitter all day.

The president, currently spending his 33rd day at one of his golf courses since taking office 23 weeks ago, began the day by resuming his frequent attacks on Morning Joe co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski. His repugnant, sexist attack on Brzezinski in particular even generated some rare Republican criticism.

He quickly turned his morning ire to “garbage journalism” CNN and “out of control” NBC before launching a second wave of attacks on the media this afternoon. Trump even pinned his most recent attack to the top of his profile. As one Twitter user pointed out:

Now, the clearly unhinged and preoccupied President of the United States has declared that in fact, his use of social media “is not Presidential.” Instead, he insists, “it’s MODERN DAY PRESIDENTIAL.”

And while that sadly may be true, it doesn’t mean it’s a good thing. For him, for the office of the presidency, or for this country.
