Twitter Explodes in Outrage on News Pat Robertson Just Interviewed Donald Trump
Robertson Said He ‘Totally’ Agreed Gays and Lesbians Were to Blame for 9/11
Octogenarian televangelist Pat Robertson has just completed a White House interview with President Donald Trump, and Twitter is exploding because of it.
A few of the details of the Christian Broadcasting Network exclusive interview minutes ago became available – but it’s not what Trump says to Robertson, but Robertson himself – that has outraged so many.Â

After all, Robertson is one of America’s most anti-gay Christian extremists. He literally blamed gay people for 9/11.
Here’s Pat Robertson on his “700 Club” show just two days after the 2001 terror attacks, saying, “I totally concur” when Falwell blames the ACLU, and the “abortionists, and the gays, and the lesbians,” for 9/11.
Robertson is widely regarded as an anti-gay extremist, whose views overall are so far outside the American mainstream it’s astonishing he would be allowed to interview the President of the United States.
Not only is Trump hosting Pat Robertson in the White House this week, but on Monday he held a prayer meeting with about two dozen of America’s most anti-gay far right wing Christian extremists. That meeting was hidden from the President’s public schedule and the White House released no details. Among the attendees were Tony Perkins, Michele Bachmann, Robert Jeffress, and Ralph Reed.
Here’s how some are responding on social media:
everything is fine. trump is just doing an interview with a demon hunter today. because everything is fine.https://t.co/wZBl52kopk
