Watch: Trump Politicizes His Speech to 40,000 Boy Scouts

Trump Attacks ‘Fake News’ and Asks the Children, ‘Who the Hell Wants to Speak About Politics?’

President Donald Trump Monday evening politicized his speech to 40,000 Boy Scouts at the 2017 National Scout Jamboree in West Virginia. The Commander-in-Chief is automatically the honorary president of the nation’s Scouts, and did not shy away from ensuring the children and teens heard his message unfiltered.

The president used foul language in front of the audience of mostly children, who usually range in age from 7-21.

Who the hell wants to speak about politics when I’m in front of the boy scouts?” President Trump asked, and then did just that.

Tonight we put aside all of the policy fights in Washington, D.C.” he told the boys, “and instead, we’re going to talk about success.”

Trump told boy Scouts they believe in putting America first, an odd statement. But then he told them he is draining the swamp, and thinks maybe he should change the name to “sewer,” or “cesspool.”

Trump took credit for the “massive crowd” of scouts, attacked the “fake media,” and asked, “What are the chances this crowd will be shown on the cameras?”

He also asked the boys if they remembered “that incredible night” when he won the election. “The popular vote is much easier,” he said, ticking off all the states he won. “My opponent didn’t work hard” in the states she lost, he said.

Wisconsin hadn’t been won in many, many years by a Republican… The polls, that’s also fake news,” he said.

“That’s also a tribute to you, and all the other great people, who came out and voted for Make America Great Again.”

Most Scouts are not of voting age.

Trump also blasted President Barack Obama, who did not address the Boy Scouts.

President Trump threatened to fire Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price if the ObamaCare repeal vote fails.

He also told the Scouts, “We could use some more loyalty I will tell you that.”

“Under the Trump administration you’ll be saying ‘Merry Christmas’ when you go shopping,” he told the Scouts.
