Trump Jr. Lawyers Up, Hires Attorney With History of Representing Clients With Alleged Ties to Organized Crime
Has Represented Gambino and Genovese Family Members
Donald Trump Jr. has now obtained the services of a white collar criminal attorney. The news comes just one day after a bombshell New York Times report that reveals during the presidential campaign he met with a Russian attorney in hopes of gaining damaging information on Hillary Clinton. Some legal and ethics experts have said his action “borders on treason,” others dismiss them as unwise but not necessarily illegal.
The President’s eldest son has hired a New York City based attorney, Alan Futerfas, Talking Points Memo reports.
Futerfas has a history of representing clients who news reports state allegedly have ties to organized crime.
For example, his name appears as the defense attorney in various news stories with titles including, “Mafia queen pleads guilty to smuggling cocaine through Queens restaurant,” “Mobsters Convicted in Moves on Atlantic City,” “Dad accused of running massive coke ring kept it in family,” And “The Mob and Angela Clemente.”Â
