Trump Attacks GOP, Says Democrats Control Country and ‘Russia Was Against Him’

“A JOKE!”

Following a disastrous week that ended in the forced resignation of Reince Priebus, Donald Trump found solace on Twitter early Saturday morning, using the platform to attack his own party and retweet “Fox and Friends.”

The President of the United States began his weekend by insisting Russia did not want him to win the presidency, citing an article tweeted by “Fox and Friends.” The article advises that the “firm behind anti-Trump dossier also worked for Russia,” according to witness testimony in the Senate Judiciary Committee’s investigation into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

“In other words, Russia was against Trump in the 2016 Election,” the president wrote, again dismissing the consensus of all 17 US government intelligence agencies. “And why not, I want strong military & low oil prices. Witch Hunt!”

Trump then turned to the Republican-controlled Senate, which this week failed to repeal ObamaCare. The president wrote that the Senate “must get rid of 60 vote NOW!” while insisting it is “killing the R Party.”

He further insisted that Democrats control the country and asserted that “200 Bills sit in Senate,” utilizing Caps Lock to call it “A JOKE!”

“The very outdated filibuster rule must go,” Trump returned to one of his favorite arguments, a move that would drop the required number of votes on certain pieces of legislation and legislative actions to a simple majority. He addressed Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell directly, telling him to “go to 51 Votes NOW and WIN. IT’S TIME!”

Of note, the latest attempt by Republicans and Donald Trump to repeal ObamaCare died in the Senate in a vote of 49-51.

“Republicans in the Senate will NEVER win if they don’t go to a 51 vote majority NOW. They look like fools and are just wasting time,” Trump continued, turning back to Democrats. “8 Dems totally control the U.S. Senate. Many great Republican bills will never pass, like Kate’s Law and complete Healthcare. Get smart!”

“If the Senate Democrats ever got the chance, they would switch to a 51 vote in first minute,” the president concluded. “They are laughing at R’s. MAKE CHANGE!”

Donald Trump has no scheduled events scheduled for today.
