President of the United States Posts Video of Himself Physically Assaulting CNN Logo

Deputy Press Secretary Said This Week Trump Has Never Encouraged Violence

Donald Trump has spent the entire weekend attacking the news media on Twitter, and this morning the President of the United States opted to post a video of himself physically attacking the CNN logo superimposed onto another man’s head.

The video hails from 2007, where Donald Trump appeared in a match for Wrestlemania 23’s “Battle of the Billionaires.” At the time, he faced WWE owner Vince McMahon, coming out “victorious” and ultimately shaving the owner’s head.

The video shows Donald Trump “clotheslining” McMahon before repeatedly punching him on the ground, although the edit has superimposed CNN’s logo atop his face.

The video can be seen below:

Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders claimed this week that Donald Trump has never “encouraged violence.”

As New York Magazine’s Yashar Ali pointed out:

This month, Republican Congressman-Elect Greg Gianforte of Montana pleaded guilty on the charge of misdemeanor assault for physically attacking a reporter. Donald Trump also said yesterday that his social media usage was “MODERN DAY PRESIDENTIAL.”
