Scaramucci Says His Political Views ‘Don’t Matter’ as Records Show he was Pro-Hillary, Pro-LGBT, Pro-Gun Control and Anti-Wall
Tells Breitbart in Exclusive Interview They ‘Captured Spirit’ of America
Anthony Scaramucci showered Donald Trump with praise during yesterday’s press briefing announcing his new role, but political records and his personal Twitter account paint a very different picture of the White House’s new Communications Director.
Following the announcement, reports surfaced that he donated $4,600 to Hillary Clinton in 2007 and $5,600 to former President Barack Obama in 2008. And as various outlets have reported, a renewed focus on old tweets showcased some key differences with his new boss.
Some examples:
“@infovestment: @Scaramucci if Hillary keeps this up,she might be back in play for 2016….” I hope she runs, she is incredibly competent

You can take steps to combat climate change without crippling the economy. The fact many people still believe CC is a hoax is disheartening

Now, Scaramucci has said that his personal political views “don’t matter,†advising that he serves Donald Trump and it’s the president’s political views people should pay attention to:

Btw my political views don’t matter I serve @POTUS pay attention to his! pic.twitter.com/I9gP7hwoVc— Anthony Scaramucci (@Scaramucci) July 21, 2017
Following his tweet, Scaramucci today granted his first interview as Communications Director to the far right wing website Breitbart.
“One of the things Breitbart has done is you’ve captured the spirit of what’s actually going on in this country,†Scaramucci told the extremist website’s political editor Matt Boyle. He also advised that the Trump administration is “having a rough time with the mainstream media,†but said that “the people see through it.â€
He further joked about the Breitbart editor sending him his resume, a frightening but perhaps unsurprising thought, and explained that part of his strategy is to “tighten up an ‘unfiltered message.’â€
This, on the day Trump spent hours attacking Democrats, Hillary Clinton and the media in a series of tweets that defended his son’s ever-evolving meeting last summer
and seemingly confirmed that Attorney General Jeff Sessions discussed campaign-related matters with Russia. (While also floating the idea that he has the “complete power to pardon.â€)Â
Trump also weighed in on Scaramucci this morning, defending his decision to call the president “anti-American†and a “hack†in 2015, a tweet Scaramucci himself retweeted this morning:
In all fairness to Anthony Scaramucci, he wanted to endorse me 1st, before the Republican Primaries started, but didn’t think I was running!
