One More Time Trump Embarrasses US
Never in modern history have Americans seen their president at the center of so many international social embarrassments. Aside from – or perhaps, because of – Donald Trump’s unhinged behavior and vile language, Trump is the center of embarrassment, often with foreign leaders seeming to try to do their best to stay as far away from the American president as possible.
There was Emmanuel Macron’s obvious dis of Trump back in May, when the French President walked straight toward the U.S. President, then swerved right to embrace German Chancellor Angela Merkel, then other foreign leaders, before finally shaking Trump’s hand.
There was Trump’s snub of Merkel during her visit to the Oval Office, when she asked him if he wanted to shake hands for a photo op, and he supposedly didn’t hear her.
And then there was Trump literally shoving aside the Prime Minister of Montenegro so he could be in the front line for a group photo.
Even Melania Trump has publicly snubbed the President.
And now this.
Thursday morning the First Lady of Poland, Agata Kornhauser-Duda, snubbed President Trump, bypassing him to shake hands with First Lady Melania Trump.
The look of anger on the President’s face was priceless.

AmericaBlog’s John Aravosis writes, “it appears the Polish First Lady dissed the American president. More specifically, she paid homage to Trump’s wife Melania, who, as usual, was being treated by Trump as extra baggage.”
USA Today calls it “Another awkward handshake overseas.”
