Donald Trump Jr. Follows President’s Lead, Posts Video Depicting Violence Against CNN
“One of the Best I’ve Seenâ€Â
Donald Trump Jr. was among the first to politicize the tragic shooting  of House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, and immediately called for the firing of Kathy Griffin and Johnny Depp following their poor attempts at humor that “advocated violence.â€
Despite this, the president’s son has opted to follow Donald Trump’s lead, posting a video on Twitter of the President of the United States violently attacking, and ultimately destroying, the CNN avatar. The video in question shows a superimposed Donald Trump engaged in air combat with the avatar of the news channel, before ultimately using a missile to destroy it.Â
“One of the best I’ve seen,†Trump Jr. tweeted, complete with American flag emojis:

It should go without saying, but celebrating imagery depicting the President of the United States violently attacking an avatar representing journalists is not American. Even when that president, just yesterday, casually shared a laugh at the expense of the press with a man who has allegedly murdered journalists.
Some sane reactions:
if that was Kathy Griffin shooting down AF1, you’d laugh too, right?

This family sets such a low bar, they don’t even bother trying to lift it off of the ground. It’s suits them just fine where the low bar is.

This is pretty juvenile. It’s like 11-year-old humor. I know dignity is a pipe dream, but at a minimum at least find something clever to R/T

Are CNN parents counting down having to explain to their kids the President wants to blow up Mommy and Daddy? pic.twitter.com/wAO7JEJxbN— Maggie Jordan: (@MaggieJordanACN) July 8, 2017Â
