Twitter Mocks Trump After President Confuses the Cabinet Room With His Set on ‘The Apprentice’ (Video)

‘We’ll See You in the Boardroom’

Sitting in the Oval Office moments after the swearing-in of Gen. John Kelly President Donald Trump told reporters his new Chief of Staff will do a “spectacular” job. Kelly was seated in chair usually reserved for visiting heads of state or the Vice President, as MSNBC’s Robert Traynham noted.

After announcing Kelly had been sworn in, Trump proceeded to detail all his own “accomplishments,” including unemployment, the stock markets, and consumer optimism.

Curiously, after speaking to reporters, Trump dismissed them by saying, “we’ll see you in the board room.”

There is a meeting of Trump and his cabinet secretaries Monday morning, but the name of the room in which the meetings take place is the Cabinet Room, not the Board Room.

On Twitter, many took notice of the similarities to Trump’s remarks and those he made as host of “The Apprentice.” Part of the set on “The Apprentice” was The Board Room.
