22 Tweets (and Counting) Since Saturday AM: Trump Goes After Republicans, Clinton, Sessions, ObamaCare — The List Seems Endless

‘All Agree the U. S. President Has the Complete Power to Pardon’ Trump Says, Wrongly

To say President Donald Trump is out of control would be to say water is wet. Not news. And yet, since Saturday morning Trump has posted 22 tweets in an extraordinary, clearly out of control rage — even after, or perhaps, in spite of — hiring a new Communications Director.

The spokesman for Trump’s personal legal team quit the day after Trump reportedly promised to rein himself in. Trump immediately broke that promise by giving an (again) out-of-control stream of consciousness interview to The New York Times.

Since Saturday morning Trump has tweeted about Russia, “draining the swamp,” and attacked his fellow Republicans. He has lamented the “phony Russian Witch Hunt” which is anything but. He has falsely claimed “ObamaCare is dead and the Democrats are obstructionists.”

He has lied about his new Communications Director, saying: “Anthony Scaramucci, he wanted to endorse me 1st, before the Republican Primaries started, but didn’t think I was running!” That’s provably false, given all the revelations about Scaramucci’s attacks on Trump.

And he has lied about Hillary Clinton and Russia, which is just plain ignorant.

Trump has attacked the “Failing New York Times, just three days after giving them a bombshell exclusive interview.

And he has blasted “the Amazon Washington Post,” a ridiculous moniker he coined in an attempt to harm both of Jeff Bezos’ businesses.

Monday morning. alone, Trump has tweeted three times:

Notice in the most recent, he attacks his own “beleaguered” Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, who he clearly wants to quit, ASAP.

But out of all the past 22 tweets, it was this one, early Saturday morning, that has many Americans still scratching their heads, and saying, “Why?”

MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski took Trump to task Monday morning, as Raw Story noted.

“It’s fascinating,” Brzezinski says (video above).

The ‘Morning Joe’ co-host suggested the tweet showed Trump had a guilty conscience,” Raw Story’s Travis Gettys reports.

“Why think of that?” Brzezinski said. “Why are you thinking about that is what one might ask. One might ask, why you are thinking about it so much to tweet about it and why are you talking about it with your communications director? These are really important questions that members of the press have every right to ask and possibly — if they are responsible — possibly one might think they should ask those questions.”

The “Morning Joe” crew noted that the president’s personal lawyer, jay Sekulow, denied pardon conversations, while the president’s new Communications Director, Anthony Scaramucci, effectively disputed Sekulow’s claim by offering his own explanation.

This is a man spinning rapidly out of control, but like a terrible car wreck, it’s horrible to watch, yet we cannot help rubbernecking as we drive by.
