WATCH: Scarborough Says GOP Congressman Told Him He ‘Was Scared’ for Morning Joe Co-Hosts After Trump Private Explosion

‘He Started Talking About Blood Coming Out of Her Ears, Out of Her Eyes’

“Morning Joe” co-host Joe Scarborough says a senior Republican Congressman told him he “was scared” for Scarborough and co-host Mika Brzezinski after personally seeing President Trump discussing the couple and exploding in anger.

Scarborough said the “very well-known” lawmaker who “everybody knows,” said the President, recently in front of about 20 congressman, brushed off Scarborough as “a joke” but started talking about Brzezinski in vile terms.

The congressman, according to Scarborough, said Trump “scared” him.

“‘He was vicious, when he turned from you to Mika. His face was red. He started talking about blood coming out of her ears, out of her eyes,'” Scarborough said the lawmaker told him.

“‘I don’t even know why I’m calling you, but I was just scared. I was scared for you guys, and I wanted you to know,'” Scarborough, himself a former GOP congressman, said the lawmaker told him.

On Thursday President Donald Trump attacked both Scarborough and Brzezinski, especially Brzezinski, via Twitter.

“We’re OK,” Scarborough told viewers, “the country is not.”

Brzezinski says she’s “fine,” but added, “I am very concerned as to what this, once again, reveals about the President of the United States.”

Scarborough said Trump “takes things so much more personally with women, he’s so much more vicious with women.”

“He attacks women because he fears women,” Scarborough says.
