President Donald Trump sat through the first half of Jim Comey’s testimony Thursday before the Senate Intelligence Committee, which was long enough for him to hear the former FBI Director he fired say the White House lied about him. In one way or another Comey accused Trump or his administration of lying five times.
The President at 2:45 PM EDT Friday will hold a press conference where he is expected to be asked about Comey’s testimony. Already, just past 6 AM this morning, the president claimed Comey committed perjury by lying, and called him a “leaker,” which is inaccurate.
Minutes ago Trump in the Oval Office said he would be making a statement about the hearing.
Expect a raucous press event.
