Fired former FBI Director in his opening remarks says President Donald Trump’s comments calling his leadership of the Bureau poor after firing him are “lies, plain and simple.” Comey also accused the Trump administration of choosing to “defame” him and the FBI.
Comey also told the Senate, “The FBI is honest. The FBI is strong. And the FBI is and always will be independent.”
