‘There’s No Doubt’ Comey Says Under Oath

Nearing the conclusion of Jim Comey’s testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee’s hearing Thursday afternoon, the former FBI Director clearly stated his firing by President Donald Trump was a political act designed to impede the Bureau’s investigation into Russia.

“There’s no doubt,” Comey said, “I was fired because of the Russia investigation. I was fired in some way to change the way the Russia investigation was being conducted. That is a very big deal,” Comey stated.

He also said that “if any Americans were part of helping the Russians do that to us, that is a very big deal,” Comey added.
