VIDEO: Disabled Protestors Hauled Out of Their Wheelchairs Perfectly Sums Up the GOP Health Care Bill
Republicans Using the Power of the State to Kick Americans Who Require Medical Care Out of Their Wheelchairs and on to the Street

The Republican health care plan is far worse than anyone even imagined. The draft bill was revealed late Thursday morning, and health care activists immediately went to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s office to protest.

And so he had the Capitol Hill Police remove them. People who are living with disabilities, many in wheelchairs, were physically carted away from the hallway in front of the Kentucky Republican Senate Leader’s office.
There literally are few metaphors that could be any more accurate: Republicans using the power of the state to kick Americans who require medical care out of their wheelchairs and on to the street.

It truly is terrifying.
The Republican health care bill repeals ObamaCare, but what it really does is it repeals taxes on the wealthy. Its number one purpose is literally to cut taxes on the rich.
And it accomplishes it by creating a mechanism that ultimately can be used to kill off Medicaid. That’s not hyperbole. “The Senate version of Trumpcare may phase out Medicaid — entirely,” writes ThinkProgress Justice Editor Ian Millhiser.

The GOP bill does so much more. Take a look at some of the damage it will do to all Americans – pregnant women, people with pre-existing conditions like cancer and HIV/AIDS, seniors, or people who hope to be.
