Twitter Explodes in Anger After Trump Says ‘Low I.Q. Crazy Mika’ Brzezinski Was ‘Bleeding Badly From a Face-Lift’
‘He’s a Profoundly Damaged Person and Every Day He Further Debases This Great Nation’
A thoroughly unhinged President Donald Trump Thursday morning let loose on Twitter, attacking Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough. In remarks that sounded like he was talking to supporters at a pre-election campaign rally, President Trump referred to the MSNBC “Morning Joe” co-host as “low I.Q. Crazy Mika,” and accused her of “bleeding badly from a face-lift” but wanting to join him at Mar-a-Lago for New Year’s Eve. Trump also called Brzezinski’s co-host Joe Scarborough “Psycho Joe.”
It’s another example of Donald Trump treating women as objects of contempt and the media as “the enemy of the people,” which Trump has said repeatedly before.
“I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don’t watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came …Â to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year’s Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!” Trump said on Twitter.
The Trump’s Press Secretary Sean Spicer has said the President’s tweets are offical statements from the White House.
The remarks are eerily reminiscent of remarks Trump has made about Megyn Kelly when the journalist was at Fox News.
“You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever,” Trump infamously said about Kelly after an August 2015 Republican presidential debate.
Brzezinski and Scarborough, in fact, were at Mar-a-Lago this past New Year’s Eve, as documented in this photo by New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman:

Trump’s remarks echo those of the White House Director of Social Media and Assistant to the President Dan Scavino, who earlier Thursday morning posted this attack to Twitter:
#DumbAsARockMika and lover #JealousJoe are lost, confused & saddened since @POTUS @realDonaldTrump stopped returning their calls! Unhinged.

On Twitter, many, especially fellow journalists, came to Brzezinski’s aid.
.@morningmika, who I used to work with at @CBSNews, is a smart, a pro, an advocate/role model for working women, just lost her beloved dad

Trump’s “Mika was too ugly to let her be around me” recalls his “those women were too ugly for me to want to sexually assault.”

If you think Trump’s tweet was bad, just wait until you hear White House staff, conservative media, and some Republicans defend it.
