Trump Goes on Second Twitter Tantrum of the Morning, Attacking London Mayor’s Statesmanship as ‘Pathetic’

London Mayor Sees Responding to Trump as ‘Punching Down’ Says Conservative Commentator

President Donald Trump has begun his second Twitter tantrum of the morning, calling the Mayor of London’s statesman-like approach to show calm and strength in the face of Saturday’s terror attack “pathetic.”

Mayor Sadiq Khan had said: “Londoners will see an increased police presence today and over the course of the next few days. There’s no reason to be alarmed.” That last sentence is what Trump chose to take out of context and publicly attack.

“Pathetic excuse by London Mayor Khan who had to think fast on his ‘no reason to be alarmed’ statement,” the President of the United states said via Twitter just before 10 AM EDT Monday. “MSM is working hard to sell it!” Trump added, taking yet another swipe at  his favorite punching bag, the mainstream media.

It is truly unprecedented for a sitting head of state to  mock and denigrate a city’s mayor who just suffered any grave incident, much less a terror attack. And many are saying they believe Trump is attacking the Mayor of London because he is Muslim.

CNN’s report minutes ago:

Earlier Monday morning, starting just before 6:30 AM, Trump launched into a Twitter tantrum, insisting his own Dept. of Justice wrongly drew up a “watered-down” Muslim travel ban, instead saying they should have stayed with the original. Former Trump top advisor Rudy Giuliani bragged on national television that ban was written to appear to not target Muslims, even though that was its intent.

Courts have blocked both from going into effect, and today the Trump administration will present to the Supreme Court its reasoning as to why it does not target one particular religion, which is unconstitutional, and why President Trump has shown good faith in signing a less stringent one. Court watchers believe the administration will lose at SCOTUS.

CNN’s Keith Boytkin, a former Clinton White House aide, offered this take on Trump’s attack:
