Here’s What You Need to Start Your Day
Good Tuesday morning! Today the GOP health care bill that will kick 22 million people off their coverage could gain new life, or get a major setback. GOP is playing the same game they always do. Remember how the House health care bill was “dead,” yet came back to life and was passed? The bill is dead only when it’s dead, not before.
Here are five things you need to know for today:
- There are at least four, and probably six GOP Senators are right now saying they will vote no against allowing debate on the Republican bill to repeal and “replace” ObamaCare.
- That would kill it automatically, but…
- Enter Mitch McConnell, who has a briefcase full of hundreds of billions of dollars he can use to bribe Senators to give them what they want – programs, changes to the bill, etc. – which may sway just enough Senators to vote to allow debate, keeping the bill alive.
