More Than 200 Days Since Election Sean Spicer Says He Has Never Talked to Trump About Russian Interference (Video)

‘I Have Not Sat Down and Asked Him’

224 days ago the American people went to the polls and Donald Trump became president. Since at least July of 2016 rumors about Russian interference in the election have grown in to a full-fledged report signed on to by 17 U.S. government intelligence agencies  that unanimously agree Russia worked to disrupt Americans’ opinions in an attempt to install a candidate Russian president Vladimir Putin preferred.

But in all that time White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, the RNC’s former communications director and chief strategist, has not once talked with Donald Trump about the Russian “hacking” of the 2016 election.

That’s what Spicer claimed Tuesday afternoon during the first on-camera press briefing in over a week.

Asked Tuesday afternoon by a conservative reporter, One America News’ Trey Yingst, if Trump believes the Russian interfered in the election, Spicer responded: “I have not sat down and talked to him about that specific thing,” Spicer said.

“Obviously, we’ve been dealing with a lot of other issues today, I’d be glad to touch base.”

As the reporter reminded Spicer that all the U.S. intelligence agencies and the former FBI Director have all agreed Russian had intervened, Spicer cut him off, saying he had seen the reports.

“I have not sat down and asked him about a specific reaction to them, so I’d be glad to touch base and get back to you.”
