Kelly Told Jones He Is ‘Fascinating’ to Her

Many Americans were outraged the moment NBC News and Megyn Kelly announced she had interviewed fake news purveyor Alex Jones for her upcoming coming Sunday show. Jones has said the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre was faked, 9/11 was an inside job, and “Pizzagate” is real. For nearly two decades Jones has spread hurtful and harmful conspiracy theories.

The backlash from Kelly’s attempt to normalize Alex Jones was appropriately swift. Sandy Hook families have threatened to sue NBC. Many have promised to boycott her show, and advertisers have pulled out.

NBC News has been in crisis, as calls grow for the network to not air the interview.

The decision was made to re-cut the interview to make it look like Kelly is being harder on Jones, and now Jones, who has built his empire of hate fighting the mainstream media, is fighting back against Kelly.

Early Friday morning Jones released portions of his negotiations, apparently off-the-record conversations with Megyn Kelly. They seem to be secretly recorded audio from their telephone calls during which she tries to convince him to agree to do the interview.

“It’s not going to be some gotcha hit piece, I can promise you that,” Kelly can be heard telling Jones, as Mediaite reports.

“You just became very fascinating to me,” Kelly says. “My goal is for your listeners, and the left, who will be watching on NBC, to say, ‘Wow. That was really interesting.'”

And then, this:

“The reason you are interesting me to be is because I followed your custody case and I think you had a very good point about the way the media was covering it and for some reason treated you and your family and what was going on as fair game when they never would have done that to — if you will — a mainstream media figure,” Kelly tells Jones. “I saw a different side of you in that whole thing.”

“The comments I heard from you during the course of that trial and the plea to the media to be respectful to you and your kids just reminded me you’re just like anybody. You’re a dad. You go through the same things we go through.”

At one point Kelly says he was at the top of her list of people she wanted to interview for her new show.

The video, below, includes Jones voicing vile and graphic descriptions including calling Hillary Clinton a serial killer. 

There’s much more in the 30-minutes video Jones released, which includes his take, including referring to Megyn Kelly as Medusa, and even playing What appears to be a clip of the battle against Medusa from the 1981 film “Clash of the Titans.”

Jones presents himself as fighting for America, and Megyn Kelly and NBC as fake news.

The Hill reports the “Sandy Hook families threatened legal action against NBC News and its president on Thursday.”

“Airing Ms. Kelly’s interview implicitly endorses the notion that Mr. Jones’ lies are actually ‘claims’ that are worthy of serious debate, and in doing so it exponentially enhances the suffering and distress of our clients,” said a letter obtained by the Los Angeles Times from Koskoff, Koskoff & Bieder.
