Breaking: Greta Van Susteren Gone From MSNBC

‘I Am Out at MSNBC’ Van Susteren Tweets

Former Fox News host Greta Van Susteren is now also former MSNBC host Greta Van Susteren.

The TV host had joined the network less than six months ago, but “For the Record with Greta” lasted less than six months.

The show was plagued by poor ratings and a host who repeatedly blurted out opinion camouflaged as fact.

Van Susteren posted the news to Twitter minutes ago:

Van Susteren repeatedly hosted conservatives, and then engaged in casual and apparently unscripted conversation with them on air, leading to frequent false claims from the journalist who was expected to know basic facts about the issues she was reporting.

Vanity Fair reports Van Susteren “will be permanently replaced by Ari Melber, the network’s chief legal correspondent and host of the The Point on weekends. He will continue to appear across NBC and MSNBC shows as he takes over the 6 p.m. slot next month.”

One week ago NCRM blasted NBC News and MSNBC Chair Andy Lack for hiring Van Susteren, and flooding the network with right wing ultra-partisan hacks like Megyn Kelly. The most recent among Lack’s far right wing hires is Hugh Hewitt.

Hewitt now has a Saturday morning show that is a slap in the face to the network’s dedicated audience, some of whom say they no longer watch as a result.
