UPDATING: CBO Says Senate Health Care Bill Will Force 22 Million More Americans Off Coverage Plans

TrumpCare or McConnellCare? By Any Name the Legislation Will Literally Kill People

The Congressional Budget Office has just released its scoring of the Senate health care plan. It’s bad news for Americans. An additional 22 million people would lose coverage by 2026. That’s 22 million more people than those who do not have coverage today.

The House plan would kick 23 million people off plans by 2026, so the new plan Republicans and the President have been claiming is even better is actually far worse.

President Trump had told Senate Republicans he wanted a plan with more “heart.” It clearly has even less.

Regardless of the score, Senate Republican leadership as early as an hour ago vowed to hold a vote on the bill before the July 4 recess, presumably so they don’t have to face constituents who think they can change their votes.
