As Comey Delivers Senate Testimony What Will Trump Be Doing? Live-Tweeting His Responses.

Trump Meets With Three GOP Senators Today Who Will Be Questioning Comey Thursday

On Thursday former FBI Director Jim Comey will testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee, and President Donald Trump has every intention of live-tweeting if he feels the need to dispute what the man he fired has to say.

This, according to the Washington Post’s Robert Costa, who often reports what his sources in the White House have to say.

What else will the President be doing while Comey is testifying? Delivering a speech to a far right wing group of religious extremists.

“The Faith and Freedom Coalition’s ‘Road to Majority’ conference announced Tuesday that the president had agreed to address the annual gathering Thursday,” TIME magazine reports. “Faith and Freedom spokesman Lance Lemmonds says the president is expected to speak at 12:30 p.m. EDT.”

The Faith and Freedom Coalition opposes a woman’s right to choose and same-sex marriage. It is headed by the notorious Ralph Reed, who grew his career by working with far right Christian extremists, like Pat Robertson, and right wing conservative politicians and operatives, including Tom Delay, Grover Norquist, and Jack Abramoff.

If that’s not sufficiently disturbing, tonight President Trump will be dining with six Republican Senators, two of whom will be questioning Jim Comey just 36 hours later: Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Tom Cotton (R-AR).

And there’s more.

“Tuesday, Trump is meeting with congressional GOP leadership at the White House, including Texas Sen. John Cornyn, who is also on the committee,” the Washington Examiner adds.
