WATCH: Trump Complains to Military Graduates ‘No Politician in History Has Been Treated More Unfairly’

‘Look at the Way I’ve Been Treated Lately’ Trump Said, Making Cadets’ Graduation All About Trump

President Donald Trump again delivered a speech at an event that was not for him, and again made it all about him. Delivering the commencement address at the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut, the Commander-in-Chief told the soon-to-be graduates that “no politician in history” has been treated more unfairly than he.

“Over the course of your life, you will find that things are not always fair,” Trump told attendees. “You will find that things happen to you that you do not deserve and that are not always warranted, but you have to put your head down and fight, fight, fight. Never ever ever give up. Things will work out just fine,” he said early Wednesday afternoon.

“Look at the way I’ve been treated lately, especially by the media. No politician in history — and I say this with great surety — has been treated worse or more unfairly. You can’t let them get you down. You can’t let the critics and the naysayers get in the way of your dreams.”

“I guess that’s why I won, thank you,” he said. “I guess that’s why we won.”

Trump, who lost the popular vote yet still became president actually evaded the normal vetting process most presidential candidates go through. He refused to release his taxes, the medical information he released was questionable, and to this day Americans have many questions regarding his personal and business ties to Russia and other countries.
