WATCH: Trump Goes Out of His Way to Insist He Never Said Classified Info He Revealed Came From Israel

No One Ever Said He Did

At the end of a press briefing Monday morning in Israel, President Donald Trump stopped reporters from leaving to make a special announcement.

“I never mentioned the word or the name ‘Israel,'” Trump said, referring to his closed door during Oval Office meeting with Russian officials nearly two weeks ago. During that meeting President Trump revealed code word highly classified information that was shared in great secrecy with the U.S., by Israel. Revealing the information reportedly made it fairly easy for the Russian to figure out where it came from, possibly outing the spy or spies who had gathered the intelligence, and putting their lives at risk.

The only problem is the media never reported Trump had said he told Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak that the classified information he revealed had come from Israel.

President Trump also went on to say that it was therefore another story the media got wrong, as a horrified Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu looked on.

Trump appreared disgruntled as he walked away before returning to make his announcement and shake Netanyahu’s hand for the cameras. The Israeli Prime Minister told them that the “intelligence cooperation” between the two nations is “teriffic.”

And by making the announcement, it’s clear Trump confirmed he did reveal the information, which the Russians previously denied.
